Aug. 08, 1968 - Syrian Migs Land In Israel: Israel said yesterday that the two Syrian pilots who landed on Monday with two MIG 17 Planes at Bezet, Galilee, declared during interrogation that they were on a training flight and landed in Israel because of a navigational error, tinkling they were over the Syrian port of Latakia, The distance between Lataka and the airfield where the Syrians landed is more than 175 miles.
