Sep. 09, 1969 - A new Airline designed entirely for Holidaymakers.: Pink, turquoise and orange airliners, will be flying in Britain's skies next year by a British independent airline. And the hostesses will wear straw boaters and uniforms in colours to match their aircraft. This new look in the skies was revealed today at a press conference by Court Line Ltd, who are the shipping firm who own Autair International. This new airline will be the first to be designed entirely for holidaymakers and will concentrate solely on holiday charter flights. The airline will be known as Court Lines (Aviation) ltd. and their new £14-million fleet of eight B.A.C. one-eleven jets, will be airborne from the 1st January, 1970. Says Mr. John Young managing director of the Court Line Group; Our aim is for holiday makers to feel that their holiday. Not just a boring necessity. On board passengers will even be able to eat when they feel like it, for the new airline have designed a new idea in flight catering - seatback meals.
