May 22, 1968 - Bea Stewardesses Ride On Wing Of Tiger Moth At Dress Rehearsal For Flying Display: Seven Bea stewardesses who have volunteered to ride on the wing of a Tiger Moth at a flying display, today had a dress rehearsal'. The girls took it in turns to ride on the wing of the aircraft and complete a circuit at Wycombe Air Park, Booker (Bucks). One of the girls will be elected for the big day - a flying display at Denham (Bucks) on Saturday (May 25). Capt. Ron Gillman, Bea's Senior Training Captain, Trident Flight, arranged the rehearsal following his appeal in Bea News for volunteers. The flying display is being organised by the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators and the proceeds are for the Air Safety Trust. The adventurous seven girls, are Moira Boyd, 24, from Orpington, Kent, Jacqui Cheesman, 27, of Barnes, London; Patricia Garner, 27, of Colnbrook, Bucks; Margaret Meadows, 28, of Hampton Hill, Mddx; Jackie Stead, 23, of Hayes, Mddx; Lisa Winder, 24, of Hounslow, Mddx, and Elaine Michals.
