Jan. 08, 1970 - World record Flight with the Skyservant': On the 8th of January 1970, Mr. Frank Tuytjens (38), testing pilot of the Dornier works in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich, made a new world record (in the class C 1 e, landplanes of starting weight of 3 to 6 tons) of 30 000 ft. altitude flight with a two-engined short-take-off plane of the type Dornier Skyservant'. This record flight was registerated abnd controlled by the commissioner of the FAI (Federation Aernonautique Internationale). The Skyservant which is a production-line plabne without special appliances has on board gauged barographs that showed the maximum flight altitude of 30 000 ft. This high altitude record flight of the Dornier skyservant is the 6th German world record of motor planes to be registered by the FAI (federation Auronautique Internationale) after the war. The Dornier Skyservant:, a two-engined short take-off and general-purpose plane, has been produced in production-line by the Dornier works for 2years ans is being used successfully in several countries.
