Mar. 03, 1967 - Home Secretary visits Netheravon to launch police helicopter experiment: Mr. Roy Jenkins, the Home Secretary, today visited Headquarters 2 Wing of the Army Air Corps at Netheravon, to launch the experiment in which the use of helicopters for police work is to be evaluated. Army Air Corps instructors at the Netheravon are co-operating with the police in a number of training courses and simulated experiments under Home Office direction.
