Aug. 26, 1970 - R.A.F. Airquartermasters training at Brize Nortoe.: The only female members of aircrew to serve in the ROyal Air Force - RA WRAF Airquartermasters who fly on Air Support Command's world -wide routes - all receive their flying training at R.A.F> Station, Brize Norton, Oxen, which today opened its doers to the press. The girls training includes the preparation of aircraft trim sheets supervision of leading of freight and passengers, supervision of cabin service en passenger aircraft and the operation of safety equipment. The latter entails training on the VC10 simulated escape chute and the launching of a life craft under realistic condition. Photo shows Sgt.
