Sep. 09, 1970 - Hijacked Airliners blown up: Women and children passenger from the three aircraft hijacked by Palestinian commandos were freed from their desert prisons at Revolution Airfield, Jordan, on Saturday, and driven to Amman. Minutes after their release the three aircraft were blown up. The guerillas held back 40 men as hostages. Photo shows this young American boy, free from the hijacked TWA Boieng - seems happy enough in Amman as he played with one of the guerrillas machine guns. before flying home
