Nov. 11, 1970 - Planes Collide on runaway at Lydda Airport. Two killed: A Trans-world Airlines Boeing 707 cargo jet and an Israeli transport plane collided and burst into flames on the runway at Lydda Airport, Tel Aviv, early this morning. Two members of the crew of the Israeli plane were killed. The collision occurred as the Boeing 707 was about to take off and the Israeli plane was being towed by a tractor.
