Nov. 24, 1971 - November 24th, 1971 Wings for European Airbus loaded into transport aircraft The first set of wings for the A300B European Airbus, were loaded into a Super Guppy transport aircraft at Ringway Airport, Manchester, bound for Toulouse, France, where they will be joined to other parts built in Europe. The wings had been brought to the airport by road from Hawker Siddeley's factory in Chester. Photo Shows: The Super Guppy transport aircraft being towed into a bay before loading began
