Nov. 24, 1971 - Wings For European Airbus Loaded Into Transport Aircraft. Top Picture: Delicate manoeuvrings as the first set of wings for the A300B European Airbus are loaded into a Super Guppy transport aircraft at Ringway Airport, Manchester, bound for Toulouse, France, where they will be joined to other parts built in Europe. The wings had been brought to the airport by road from Hawker Siddeley's factory in Chester. Hawker Siddley already building six wings for the airbus, announced yesterday it had received orders for eight more wings. Bottom Picture: The Super Guppy being towed int a bay before loading began
