Mar. 03, 1971 - First Japanese Built Transport plane'. Woke is almost completed on the first twin jet transport plane XC-1 at the Gifu works of Kawasaki Heavy industries in Japan. Previously, Japan relied on foreign firms for jet-powered transport planes, and it is expected that after successful tests have been made, a series of the same XC jet transport will go into production in Japan
