Aug. 08, 1972 - A Stowaway at the age of three: A three-year-old boy stowed away at Los Angeles yesterday aboard a Trans World Airlines jumbo jet flying his father to London. He was discovered in a lavatory about 20 minutes after take-off. Mr. James Woo-Sam, 40, a psychologist, of Inglewood, California, had been seen off by his wife, their son Mark, and the boys two sisters. No one had any idea how Mark got on the aircraft. Mr. Woo-Sam was sitting in the aircraft when he heard an announcement asking for the parents of a little boy found in a toilet at the back of the aircraft, to come forward. Said Mr. Woo-Sam I was horrified when I saw Mark being carried down the aisle bawling his head off'. The little lad slept beside his father for most of the journey. Later Mark was handed over to two T.W.A. aunties who were going to accompany him back to America. The pilot radioed a message to Los Angeles to tell the wife the boy was safe.
