Jan. 01, 1975 - SKYJACKER HELD AFTER AIRPORT DRAMA. A skyjacker who seized a BAC 1-11 jet airliner on a flight from Manchester to London, was overpowered after a successful bluff. The man, who held the crew hostage for eight hours at Heathrow Airport, had demanded £100, 000 and to be flown to Paris. Instead the plane flew to Stansted Airport, Essex, where he was overpowered as he left the plane. Photo Shows:- The delighted crew pictured as Stansted Airport after skyjack drama.
