Jan. 01, 1975 - Skyjacker held after Airport Drama: A skyjacker who seized a BAC 1-11 jet airliner on a flight from Manchester to London, was overpowered after a successful bluff. The man, who held the crew hostage for eight hours at Heathrow Airport, had demanded 100, 000 and to be flown to Paris. Instead the plane flew to Stansted Airport.
