May 05, 1972 - Sheila's three records between shows: On Sunday, May 21 - the 45th anniversary of the Charles Lindbergh solo flight across the Atlantic and the 40th anniversary of Amelia Earthart's similar feat. Sheila Scott will fly here wold famous aircraft Mythre III from Biggin Hill Air Show to Transpo 72 in Washington, U.S.A. On the way she will attempt to add three further records to the 100 she holds already, the most recents of which was her Australia-to-England flight in 1971. The three new records she hopes for cover London to Reyjavik, Rejkjavic to New York, and Reykhjavik to Washington. The preparation for record-breaking flights calls for concentrated effort, and Sheila is fortunate in having a fine team of ex-secretaries and friends who rally round to help.
