Jan. 01, 1982 - Damaged Cars and Bridge: Cars with their roofs crushed or completely torn off are strewn on the 14th street bridge after being hit by a Florida 727 jet crashed on takeoff.The Plane just left National Airport. The plane struck the cars on the bridge during rush hour traffic and then crashed in the river and quickly sunk. Most of the passengers are still trapped in the plane presumed dead
