Aug. 08, 1974 - Shooting begins on the new film Alfie Darling Alan Price plays the title role: Alfie Elkins, the screen's most famous rough and ready Romeo, made his welcome return to motion pictures when shooting began today on the new film Alfie Darling, a Signal Film production. Playing the title-role is Alan Price, the Pop singer and songwriter. Also making her motion picture starring debut as Abby in the film is Alan's co-star, American born actress, Jill Townsend, who in private life is married to British actor Nicol Williamson.
