May 05, 1962 - Alastair Sim at the Old Vic: Alastair Sim returns to Shakespeare after 30 years when he plays Prospero in the Old Vic production of The Tempest which opens tomorrow. His first appearance on the stage was as a messenger in Othello, when Paul Robeson played the Moor at the Savoy Theatre in 1930.
