Nov. 11, 1953 - Tito Modifies Trieste Claim Will not go to war for the City': An assurance that Yugoslavia would not go to war for the city of Trieste, was given in a speech in Belgrade recently by Marshal Tito. But, he added, that Yugoslavia would continue to insist on being given all of come which is completely ours'. The city is in Zone A, but he was presumed here to be referring only to the wide areas in the hinterland which are predominately Slovene speaking. The speech was heard by more than 200, 000 people.
