Sep. 09, 1955 - Home Secretary calls for report on the Comer and Dimes cases: The Home Secretary today called for a police report concerning the cases of Jack Comer, also known as Jack Spot, and Albert Dimes. A Scotland Yard spokesman said: We are making inquiries into various aspects of these two cases and a report of these inquiries will be sent to the Home Secretary. Jack Comer was acquitted on Friday at the Old Bailey, the second man said to have been in the knife fight, Albert Dimes, was found not guilty and discharged.
