Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Russian writer, deported
Feb. 13, 1974 - Russian writer Alexandre Solzhenitsyn, author of The Gulag Archipelago published recently in the west, was just deported to Germany where he was supposed to have arrived this afternoon. The 1970 Nobel Prize Winner of Literature was delayed yesterday at his house in Moscow by Soviet authorities after having refused twice to attend a trial in Moscow
