Alexis Kanner as Hamlet, The Adams Arms, Fitzroy Square
Jan. 01, 1965 - Hamlet - With A Difference: A rehearsal took place this afternoon at The Adam's Arm - Fitzroy Square of the new style Hamlet - by an English Company - and which is to be performed in Germany. The title role Hamlet is being played by Alexis Kanner - who is made up with a white clown face. The play will run for only one hour - instead of the usual four or so hours for the normal production. Many roles have disappeared - and many lines have changed characters. The performance will be in the Festival of the Experimental Theatre at the Academie des Kunst on Jan. 20th. - when it will be televised from West Berlin.
