All-white colt with mother, Hungerford, Berkshire
Mar. 02 A Million-To-One Chance - An All White Colt: He's a freak - a million to one chance - an all-white colt. Stores chief, Sir Charles Clore has succeeded where other breeders have failed and the result is the whiter than white colt sired by Mont Blanc. His dam, Checkendon is black. The so-far unnamed foal speds his days as king of the lush pastures of Sir Charles stud farm at Hungerford, Berks. But all will end next year when he goes into training for his debut on the track. There is only a small brown spot on his tail - but otherwise he is pure white and Sir Charles has been told that the spot will disappear later on.
