Nov 09, 1953; Munich, GERMANY; American religious leaders (L-R) Rabbi NATHAN A. PERILMAN, Father GUSTAVE WEIGEL and Reverend JAMES C. FLINT in the hall of the economic ministry at Munich on November 9th, 1953, speaking about meeting in faith 15 years after the notorious Crystal Night during the Nazi era. Over 7, 500 Jewish shops were destroyed and 400 synagogues were burnt down on Crystal Night on November 9, 1938. Ninety-one Jews were killed and an estimated 20, 000 were sent to concentration camps
