Amerigo Petrucci, ex-Mayor of Rome, Italy
Apr. 17 Ex-Mayor of Rome arrested: Amerigo Petrucci, 44, who suddenly quit as Mayor of Rome with the city administration in bankruptcy, was arrested here on charges of embezzlement. He was accused of misusing his authority for personal financial gain when he was head of a state welfare agency before he became mayor in 1964. Petrucci resigned as mayor a few months ago to stand in the national parliamentary elections next summer. He is a member of the Christian Democrat Party of Premier Aldo Moro
