The Mayor is elected from the city Alderman, by over 15, 000 liver men (affiliated to livery companies, or the old city Guilds), he then becomes head of the City Corporation, resides at the Head of the court of Common Council of the city, is chief Magistrate of the city, and lives at the Mansion house in the City
