1977 - Andre Previn Presented With A Baton During Press Conference Of The London Symphony Orchestra: During a press conference at the Waldorf Hotel today to announce the future plans for the tour of the London Symphony Orchestra's East European visit to Germany, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Austria and Switzerland from May 3rd to the 27th. Principal Conductor, Andre Previn was presented with a baton by Ralph Lands, the field operations Manager for Eastern Europe for Rank Xerox, who are the sponsors of the tour.
