Feb. 02, 1952 - Mr. Fisher Receives Live Saving Certificate - And Is Accused of Keeping a Dangerous Dog.. Mr. Edward Fisher visited the Croydon Magistrate's Court this morning to receive a certificate for live saving from the chairman, Mayor Leonard Ashton.. Mr. Fisher, a 44 year old ex Dragoons Sergeant, now a fruit merchant swam 400 yards to save two men from an overturned boat last July off Rye.. After receiving the certificate he had to walk into the court again to answer a charge of keeping a dangerous dog - Flash - which is alleged to have knocked over a schoolboy.. Flash waited outside the court while Mr. Fisher received his certificate..
