1968 - Poisoner Baits Blind Hans Sde--- Eye Dog: Len Hallett a blind charity worker and Indi his beautiful golden labrador, were on their usual patch in Market St in Adelaide Australia. A poisoner dropped a piece of meat dosed with rat poison on her mat. Len says he didn know anything was wrong until someone yelled out Hey your dog is frothng at the mouth. Indi was rushed to the vet where he found a piece of the meat still in her throat. Indi pulled through and is now eating and going to work with Len. Len blames the poisoning on someone with a twisted mind he and Indi have been together for four months. If I lost her now it would be like losing a daughter. Len, 54, is know as the Mayor of Market St because hes been collecting for charity there for 40 years. He recons hes collected 500, 000 dollars for good cause.
