Feb. 19, 1953 - New additions to Munich Zoo: Two porcupines, Max and Moritz, were born recently in the Munich Zoo, and as is usual with porcupines, they were able to see immediately, and examine their new surroundings. Very soon their quills will become pointed and sharp their natural form of protection. Photo shows young Max was anxious to see how much he weighed soon after his birth it was 17 ozs
