Sep. 06, 1953 - The Welch Regiment Receive New Mascot. Handed over at London Zoo. A young goat was handed over to Major J.R.Harper (4th. Bt. Welch Regiment) at the London Zoo this morning. The Goat is to be named SOSPAN I a complete break from the traditional Taffy'.
