Nov. 07, 1953 - The Blues Choose a New Drum Horse. Joker Arrives at Windsor. Joker, a four year old skewbald gelding, has been chosen as the drum horse of the Royal Horse Guards (The Blues), he will replace the regiments famous drum horse, Pompey, which died in July.
