Jun. 09, 1953 - The welch regiment receive new mascot ceremony at the London zoo. A young goat was handed over to major j.r. Harper (4th. bt. welchregiment) - at the London zoo this morning. The coat to be named Sospan I a complete break from the traditional Taffy'. The goat will take part in all ceremonial parades of the regiment. Photo shows Head keeper Richard S.
