Animals - Aquariums - Archeology - Insects - Fossils - Zoos

Jul. 20, 1957 - Elephant-Walk on the Kurfustendam: Among the bustling chromium-shining cars of the Berlin Kurfurstendamm - three huge elephants were stamping and the Berliners, who were in such a hurry had suddenly plenty of time to watch the exotic procession from the Circus Sarrasani. Walking with complete calm in single file the huge animals made their way to a restaurant where they were served a pail of water to refresh them. Photo shows Starlet Karin Baal (Karin Baal) who had set with a friendly smile on the first elephant, had trouble to stay in the saddle when the pachyderm set up by his master's order
