Nov. 26, 1957 - MR. BEST CONSTRUCTS AN ELEPHANT - FOR THE BELGIAN EXHIBITION. MR. GERALD BEST who works for a London firm of taxidermists - has just completed - his biggest assignment. It is the construction of an elephant - which weighs a ton and a half - and which has cost ?5, 000. The elephant was shot in the Belgian Congo - and the skin shipped to London.
