Dec. 12, 1958 - Mrs. Appleton and her crippled dog Susie': Mrs. Veka Appleton was to be seen with her Samoyed dog Susie yesterday taking her for a walk in a wheeled cradle. Mrs. Appleton, of Forest Hill has been nursing Susie for about a year after the dog had collapsed from a paralytic stroke. Mrs Appleton owns a pet shop and was determined that Susie should recover and has been training her to walk again with the aid of the support. She hopes to be able to dispense with the support soon when Susie is back to normal. Photo shows Mrs. Appleton with Susie in the wheeled cradle
