May 05, 1958 - Alsatian Vanishes For Five Months - And Returns With Puppies: Vicki a two year old alsatian - disappeared from her home at Cheshunt, Herts - five months ago - and was returned there yesterday - completed with her two puppies She was found by the RSPCA in a disused quarry at Brickfield, Enfield, Middlesex. She had burrowed 20 feet into a steep bank, clawed out a cave - and had her pups. For food, Vicki raided the dustbins of houses at nearby Great Cambridge Road, took leaves of bread from front doorsteps - and two Sunday joints fro, kitchens. She was captured - and the puppies were found - and returned to her home and owner Mrs. Christi Parks, at Cheshunt.
