Jan. 10 A Panda Bear Couple arrived at Berlin-West - The two Panda-bears Bao-Bao (left side) and Tim-Tian (right side), which have been arrived at the Berlin zoo now, have to live still separated. The reason; Bao-Bao, the male bear, had touched his girl a little bit coarse. Now he can call to mind on better manners.The Chinese Panda-bear couple, welcomed at its arrival by hundreds of Berlin citizens, was presented to the Federal Chancellor Helmut Schmidt by Hua Guofeng, the Party-Leader of China, at his last visit of West Germany on October 1979. The Panda-bears are an esceptional race, only living in China. Twelve animals of the round thousand ones which are just existing - they are all presents of the Chinese leadership to friendly countries - live out of the Republic
