When fur and feather are the best of pals: They say fur and feather don't mix and that a bird who ventures too near to a dog is just asking for trouble. But there are exceptions to every rule and one of them is to be found at the Two Brewers Public House at White Cross Street in the City where Beauty the parrot and Gina'the dog are the best of friends. When Gina feels in a musical mood and sits down to play the piano, Beauty will perch herself on the piano lid and give her best rendering of Bird Songs at Eventide. But one thing Gina doesn't allow and that is for Beauty to share her pint of beer, after all just like humans, nothing most come between a dog and his beer. Photo shows They were all surprised when I sat down to play which isn't to be wondered at, but now customers at the Two Brewers are getting ouits used to seeing Beauty perched up on the piano lid while Gina strums out the accompanient to Beauty's rendering of Bird Songs at Eventside
