Animals - Aquariums - Archeology - Insects - Fossils - Zoos

Peter the pelican looks rather cross as Hubert thrust his hand down the bird throat to grab the boot before it goes right down and out of reach. Peter nearly gets the boot; Peter is a very fine pelican who regularly perform at the great Chipperfield Circus, now appearing for the first time on Clapham Common. Peter is paid handsomely for his work in the shape of luscious herrings every week, but he's a greedy bird and when he saw a boot lying around he decided it might make a tasty dish and in a matter of seconds the boot had vanished down his throat. Fortunately Hubert and Herbert, his Widget friends saw what transpired and came hurrying across and while Herbert hold Peter, Hubert thrust his arm down the bird's throat and managed to retrieve the boot which just proves how true are the words A strange bird the Pelican, his beak holds more etc. etc. etc
