Feb. 25 A New Job for the Nanny. Nanny the goat, at Roy Edgington's smallholding at Kensworth, Beds, has certainly found herself and unusual job. For she has become foster-mother to a calf! Roy had plenty of goats - and an orphan calf - so it seemed obvious to feed the youngster on goats milk. But there was only one snag - even a very young calf is quite a bit taller than a goat. But they managed to get around that one quite easily - now the goat stands up on a box while she suckles the calf!
