Feb. 25 Babe from the Woods: When 10-year old Stephen Blendell found a baby squirrel in Highgate Woods the RSPCA were pessimistic as to whether Winky, the family cat who had just given birth to kittens; would consent to take it into her family as one of her own, and feed it. They were wrong. For it turned out that greater love hath no cat than Winky, and now Sammy the squirrel is well and truly one of the feline fold. Retreat!
