Animals - Aquariums - Archeology - Insects - Fossils - Zoos

Feb. 26 Julie rides to the village - by Llama.: Trotting along the lanes of Melton, Yorkshire on her mount, 15 year old Julie Cook generally causes quite a stir - for she is mounted not on a horse, but on a llama! Julie's father bought Liberty the llama for £150 from nearby Flamingo park Zoo as a pet - and promised him to Julie if she could break him in. She has now been riding, or trying to ride him for a year - and has at last succeeded in teaching him to be obedient - though he does have a mind of his own, and likes to go his own way occasionally. Julie's whole life is devoted to animals - and each year her father Mr. Gordon Cook gives her one as a present. The Cook family, who lives in Kirby Misperton, now have quite a collection - including two ponies, eight dogs and a bear. In the village of Kirby Misperton, Yorkshire - Julie posts her letters without dismounting Liberty, her pet llama
