May 05, 1959 - A small Tapir.... was born in the Munich zoo Hellabrunn. Although births of tapirs are rather seldom, this has been the second within 13 months in the Munich zoo. The after the was born Damian (born on April 1st, 1958) has already grown up quite a bit. Now a female tapir was born by the same mother. The little ones aer, contrary to their parents, stripes and spots on their coat. Because all Hellabrunn tapirs have names beginning with D, - the father's name is Dorian'(DORIAN), the mother is Dolly (DOLLY), the boy of last year was name Damian (DAMIAN), the new-born became the name Daisy (DAISY). It is quite healthy
