Dec. 12, 1959 - Bimbo the Bear jumps the bus queue.: Bimbo a bear gummed up the rush hour in Gateshead last night. While he perched on top of the bus stop the queue hung back and buses passed and for fifteen minutes no one was quite sure what to do until 17 years old Lena Ord managed to coax him back to earth. Lena a pet shop assistant was walking him up the road when he made an unexpected dash up the post.
