Feb. 26 Kings of the castles make a splash - Spending the day out anywhere if you are a member of a famous circrsing family such as the Chipperfield Circus can prove very enjoyable, especially when you are based at a seaside resort. The Chipperfield Circus la in fact based at this present time in Blackpool and when young seven year-old Suzanne Cawley, daughter of Mary Chipperfield came home for her school holidays and decided to spend the day on the beach, she had two very special guests to contain with. Fred and Alfie both chimpanzies would normally be frightened of water bat on this occasion they both just loved the opportunity to make sand castles and make a big splash in the water together with Suzanne, At the end of the day the two chimps used up so much energy that instead of their usual nonsense at tea-time, they both got through their tea quickly and dozed off
