Feb. 28 A Calf with Only One Eye: A surprising thing discovered the Veterinaries of the slaughterhouse of Luneburg(West Germany) recently in the belly of a slaughtered cow they found a calf which had only one eye. The cow had probably been slaughtered by mistake, since it was pregnant in the 8th month. The calf however, would not been viable, since it had only incompletely developed lungs. Until now there are only few of such Cyclops heads in the collections of universities and research institutes. Photo shows Veterinaries Richard Bauch and Dietrich Wasenberg with the cut-off head of the calf, which will be preparedwith formalin and become part of the collection of the slaughterhouse
