Mar. 31 Attraction in the Zoo of Duisburg/West Germany: The ride on a Sea-Elephant: The zoo of Duisburg is able to show a special attraction: the ride on a sea-elephant! If Moritz is in gold mood, his keeper Helmut Torkel (Helmut Torkel) is allowed to get on its back to glide over the water with it. There he can hold on to a fold of the big seal which weights about 2800 kg - and sometimes the keeper is also standing on it. This weight is too much, decide Torkel, and prescribed his change a Keep Fit Cure. In this connection, this marvellous number developed, and th visitors of the zoo have their fun. Moritz is already 13 years old, and so, he's the oldest sea-elephant of Europe
