Mar. 31 A Bavarian Plumber Owns The Biggest Private Alpine-Animal-Museum of Germany Not only big animals, like this huge bear, are part of the private animal- museum of Kaspar Waldherr. This collection comprises animals which live or have lived in the Alpine regions, from the smallest bird up to the big stag with sixteen points. 17 years ago Kaspar Waldherr started with the collecting of dead animals, which he let stuff, asked farmers and hunters for their prepared chamois, stags, hares and deers and so slowly built up his collection, meanwhile visited by many people from everywhere. About 800 objects (450 species of animals) now covers the exhibition which will be extended until all European animals are represented
