Mar. 27 Lundy Island:A gap in the Half Way wall which divided the Island into two halves North and south, reveals two wild ponies grazing on the sparse Lundy turf. These ponies are rounded up every now and then and taken to the Barnstaple Fair on the Mainland. Latest census of island stock shows 50 wild ponies, 300 Devon sheep, 100 wild sheep, 100 wild goats, 150 deer, 50 horned stock and 3 pigs
